Mermaid Tear Designs by Lauren Borsa-Curran

Be glamorous with natural sea glass! These two-tier sterling earrings feature a tiny blue piece of rare blue sea glass followed by white glass dangling below. The artist handpicked it from a Rhode Island beach.

Some of things that Lauren and I have in common , besides our Italian heritage, is our mutual love of cats, the ocean,  being creative, and our fascination with sea glass.Lauren has been collecting sea glass since she was a little girl...
Lauren has now  turned her love of sea glass and her creativity into a business and she is making hand crafted jewelry out of sea glass, vintage buttons, antique type writer keys and such.
I met Lauren on Twitter last year and she is a real doll.
Our conversations have always been interesting and she is known to share a laugh, support, or share a kind word. Lauren was a former reporter and public relations professional. Now she "enjoys creating jewelry that people really love!" She sells her creations online http://www.etsy.com/shop/mermaidteardesigns and
her work is also available at the Charlestown Gallery (Art) in Charlestown, R.I., and at Fayerwether House, Kingston, R.I., where she gives annual wire-wrapping presentations.
During the holidays, her  designs are sold at the Holiday Boutique at Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT. She is also a proud member of The Artisan Group (TAG).
Her jewelry is truly unique and a " must have" for any ocean lovers or those just looking for that special gift. Prices range from $18.00 to $40.00 USD which is very reasonable considering the quality.

Blue/White Beach Shard Bracelet
Beautiful bracelet made with vintage china fragments washed up on the shore...so romantic

Earrings made with vintage type writer buttons
Purple Wampum, Green Seaglass Coil Bracelet

Twisted silver coils feature genuine purple wampum and green sea glass. The wampum and sea glass are from Rhode Island beaches. The sea does all the work! The coils are made of non tarnish silver wire as is the lobster claw clasp, which attaches to any link for a custom fit.

Forest Green Sterling Seaglass Earrings

The rich forest green tone of these earrings is enhanced by the sterling silver wire and ear wires. The artist handpicked the sea glass from a Rhode Island beach.

Lauren is a true artisan with an eye for the nostalgic and romantic. She is a great person with a good spirit and you should add a piece of her jewelry to your collection and get to know her and that's the way I see it !
