RHONJ LOST FOOTAGE , IN SOME CASES, SHOULD HAVE STAYED THAT WAY.

Andy Cohen and the crew over at Bravo TV decided, in the spirit of tradition, to air The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Season Four " Lost Footage" last night. In my opinion it should have remained where they found it (probably in a vault from ex producer Cat's Cellar). This was an obvious attempt at ratings especially given the fact that RHONJ had  record breaking viewership over the last few Sundays and now they were basically left with nothing but reruns and Watch What Happens Live. I have to admit I was not that interested but I watched anyway to support my girl, Teresa Giudice. I have to say the only footage that I found slightly appealing was the " RV Trip Cook Off " and not just because Teresa won...well maybe. I also enjoyed Teresa and Joe renewing their vows and was very curious as to why this part of their life ended up on the cutting room floor...hmmm I guess it didn't go with the drama of the manufactured "cheating scandal". The scenes of the cast pulling the tank were ok but I personally could have done without the " Teresa Take Down " campaign from Richie and Caroline. They also showed Jacqueline looking for a wedding dress since she never had one when she originally married Chis... in other words a snooze fest.

There were even lost scenes from the season four reunion  like the one where they were questioning Joe Giudice again on whether or not he is homophobic...I am gay and I don't think he is. Do I agree with some of the  stuff he has said? No...do I think it was malicious? No. I too am 100% Italian and unless you grew up in that culture you can not understand what is it like. I am not making excuses... I am stating the facts as I see them and saying I understand. Everyone will take from the show what they want or need to anyway.

I find it all so very subjective the way that show ultimately played out...I mean think about it...lives are taped for hours, days, and  months all to be edited down to a one hour shows which we watch every week. The ratings are the reason for the show as ratings equal sponsorship. Without sponsors and viewers the show could not exist on its own. It's all in the hands of the producers and editors ultimately to piece together a story and give the viewer his or her opinions on what they think we want to see.There is obviously some part of us that enjoyed the season or it would not have had the ratings it did. So in the end Bravo TV achieved what it set out to do. That being said...I think Bravo TV did go overboard with the editing and the " Teresa Bashing ". It was not just on RHONJ... it was also in the way WWHL, along with several other affiliates,   displayed their apparent disdain for Teresa Giudice . I know I am not the only one that feels this way. Teresa is a strong woman who is getting paid to do a job however certain things were out of her control that didn't put her in the " best of lights" so to speak. The average viewer doesn't have the knowledge of editing and assumes what we see is what we get ... this could not be farther from the truth. I am surprised they didn't drag the lost footage out into two parts because I am sure they have more than enough to do it. I find it strange how a woman who is portrayed by her cast so poorly to be vindictive along with everything else they have alleged could have all the success  that she does. Especially without facts to back it up. Hearsay should not be enough to condemn a person's character. Would you want it to be for you? I think not.
Maybe the average viewer does know the truth after all and we are not as " crazy " as the rest of the cast wants you to believe we are for supporting Teresa Giudice. I have been watching since season one and I do not see a changed Teresa but a change around her due to her success. I feel she is reacting to actions towards her and that is the way I see it Xx Billy
