The Dead Files New Season Returns Tonight 11/2/12

I started watching The Dead Files last year on the Travel Channel and  I  immediately became hooked! It stars Amy Allan, an acclaimed medium, as well as Steve DiSchiavi a retired NYC police officer. Amy Allan has been  communicating  with spirits since she was a little girl and this show is above and beyond your average ghost whisperer. Amy and Steve are partners who investigate a haunting and try and provide the families and the people involved with both information and relief. Amy and Steve work separately on each "case" and do not meet until the end , which is called " the reveal" to share and
and exchange the findings. What these two are a able to come up with on their own and collectively is astounding. Steve investigates  by himself gathering as many facts as he can pertaining to the history of the location along with interviewing all parties involved. Amy goes to the location on her own with just a camera man ( who does a cleaning beforehand of any personal items such as photographs etc) and she relays what she picks up psychically as well as what the spirits are actually  relaying to her.Amy is very real and telling in what she feels and experiences and the whole time you are captivated and on the edge of your seat.

The " reveal"  where Amy and Steve first meet to exchange their findings.

In the end both Amy and Steve sit down with the client and go over what they find. Amy even goes as far as to describe the spirits whom she encounters with a sketch artist during the investigation who in turn does a rendering which ultimately substantiates Steve's findings, and at times,  sightings by the client themselves with photographic evidence. I have listened to interviews with both of them and I like that Steve DiSchiavi was an ex NYC police officer and self proclaimed "skeptic" whose mind and opinion was changed after working with Amy who he claims is "the real deal". This show is a must watch for any paranormal fan who also likes elements of detective shows. You can really follow what they are doing and the editing is great unlike many of the shows today that just use night vision cameras to capture a whole lot of nothing besides themselves screaming along with bad camera angles.
