The story you are about to read include true events shared with me by my friend Tiffenii Mumphrey. I urge you all to please take the time to read this blog and also support this wonderful non profit organization founded by Teresa Bullard and help make the memories of so many drunk driving victims, like Ryan Josh Campos, not be one of sorrow but of hope of what we can achieve when we come together through tragedy to make a difference. Although living very different lives, Tiffenni and Teresa were destined to meet and forge a common bond while providing mutual support and comfort through similar shared experience. This is further proof that everything happens for a reason and there are no mistakes in the creator's plans for all of us. Thank you in advance for your support and I would like to take this time to extend my deepest condolences for anyone who has lost a loved one to the senseless act of drunk driving. Xx Billy Charles
Submitted to Billy Charles by Tiffenii Mumphrey:
If someone would have told Teresa Bullard a year ago, that
one video would change two families’ lives forever, she would not be convinced
at all. In the early morning hours of August 18, 2012, Tiffenii Mumphrey and her
husband were driving back from Nacogdoches, Texas, when they saw a flurry of lights in the distance on
the outskirts of Jacksonville Texas.
“As I looked at one of the policeman directing traffic, I
told my husband that he looked as if he’d seen a ghost,” Tiffenii said.
It did not take long to figure out why. Turns out, carnage
from a horrific wreck was right within eyesight in which two young men life less
bodies could be seen. Instinctively, for reasons she still can’t
explain, Tiffenii took out her cell phone and started videoing the scene. What
she didn’t know was that split second decision would, turn lead to an unlikely friendship
between Teresa and
Tiffenii. One of the men
killed in the accident,
was Teresa’s son, 22
year-old Ryan Joshua
Campos. He was a passenger in the car that was hit
head on by a drunk driver.
Tiffenii saved the video in her phone and would often search the
internet for any new information on the details of the wreck, but couldn’t find
anything. Then one day in October 2012, she was sitting in her office at the
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MAAD) office in Tyler, when she overheard an
obviously distraught woman complaining that the investigating officials are
telling her there wasn’t a video or other information from the night that her
son was killed in Jacksonville.
“Something told me to get up and go talk with this woman. I asked her when her son was killed and she told me August 18th. I
also asked if there was another fatality in the accident and she said yes. By
this time I had chills all over my body.”
Tiffenii went on to tell, who she now knewas
Teresa Bullard that if
this is the same accident, she was on the scene of the wreck and that
she had a
video of the
event.
“I was stunned,” Teresa said. “My first thought was what ‘are the odds’?”
As it turns out, the
video was indeed from her son’s tragic accident. The phone was immediately
turned over to the proper authorities and given to the Cherokee County District
Attorney.
The two remained in contact from that point on
because sadly,Tiffenii’s oldest brother Clifton was killed in April 1988 by a drunk driver. She said because she knew
from a sibling perspective the pain of losing a loved on to a drunk driver, they
immediately bonded.
“Teresa was obviously hurt and still grieving. So when she
called, I stopped whatever I was doing to talk to her. Sometimes, I didn’t say
anything, I just listened. She was angry at the snail pace of the justice system
and I could tell that her anger was consuming her. She was advised to turn her anger into being
an advocate for her son”.
Meanwhile, Tiffenii
had since moved on to working for another nonprofit when she got a phone call
from Teresa one Saturday in July 2013 and she simply said, ‘we need to
talk.’
She said that she wanted to start a nonprofit on behalf of
her son and she had seen the work I had done with other organizations and asked
if I would serve as the Executive Director. Now it was Tiffenii’s turn to be
stunned. She talked with my husband throughout the course
of the weekend and
they reflected on
the timing of
everything.
By Monday morning, Second Chance-Your Choice Incorporated was
born. The mission of the organization is to provide individuals and families with services to empower
them to make healthy lifestyle choices through education, prevention, intervention, mentoring and
counseling.
Teresa said that she
wants the organization to provide a sense of direction for those that want to
turn their life around, but don’t know where to begin. The organization already
has a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) on staff, and offers their
services and curriculum at no charge to schools in four surrounding counties.
While the two women readily admit, that the organization is taking off at
lightning pace, they are more than ready for the tasks.

mission, please visit

Heather Marianna and her " Lucky" rescue dog Luciano!
For as long as I have known Heather Marianna she has had a generous and giving spirit and none more apparent than when it comes to her fur children CoCo, Baron, and Luciano... aka Louie" .
Louie was a rescue dog who almost didn't make it ( the rescue center where he lived was going out of business) ..." lucky" for him Heather came along when she did! When Heather and "Luciano" met it was love at first sight as she knew he would be a perfect fit for her family! Louie is now living in Las Vegas ( originally a California native ) in the lap of luxury where he is pampered and spoiled by his Mom. He may even have more clothes than me! Luciano inspired Heather, already creator of all natural " Beauty Kitchen" spa products, to invent a luxury holistic pet line for animals while also giving back and helping other animals in need of homes such as Louie! The idea for " Lucky Luciano" was born! Heather worked tirelessly on the formulation for months , even on our Hamptons vacation, and also to pull the event together deciding to donate a portion of the proceeds to www.adoptarescuepet.org. The launch was held last week on July 30th and was a major success! The mayor of Las Vegas, Carolyn Goodman, liked the idea so much she even declared July 30th " Adopt A Rescue Pet Day" which was presented to the founder of Adopt A Rescue Pet Elizabeth Davis-Rubin. Heather helped to bestow the honor ! When Heather puts her mind and heart in to something you can be sure she will accomplish it!
I am proud of Heather and wish her all the " luck" with her new pet line " Lucky Luciano" and that's the way I see it ! Xx Billy Charles
Rosie Nikac is a fashion stylist, blogger, clothing boutique owner and just your all around fabulous fun gal!
I met Rosie on Twitter a couple of years ago. I started following her over our mutual love of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and was also attracted to her upbeat personality. Also Rosie is quite the fashionista ( which I loved ) and this was obvious with her on point style apparent in all the photos she posts of her many looks and styles. Rosie grew tired of working for other people, especially the corporate world, so she decided to take matters in to her own hands along with her best friend , and now business partner, Nazike and open her own boutique... the rest they say is history! The fashion forward Sarina Rose Boutique is located in Bergen County at 12 Union Avenue Cresskill, NJ . The shop is an eclectic mix of the hippy/vintage/sparkle that Rosie loves and newer chic pieces loved by Nazike. The two combined make for trendy affordable clothes and Rosie even sells handbags there under her own label!
Their motto is " Keep it Fabulous" and they do!

Arianna Ley is a singer, songwriter and musician. In my opinion Arianna is reminiscent of a young Celine Dion... Its her sound and the passion that she has while she performs! I chose to feature her as part of my " The Young and The Fabulous" series. Arianna is from Italy although she is coming soon to a radio near you. Her Music is her life and she is anxious to share it with the world. She is currently busy studying while working on a new project soon to be revealed!
I can not wait for you to get to know her the way I see it Xx Billy Charles
BC: Where are you from?
AL: I'm from the province of Venice, Italy
BC What is your
nationality?
AL: Italian
BC: How old are you?
AL: 20
BC: How long have you been singing?
AL: I've been singing since I was about 6, my mother used to sing in the
chorus of the church so I started there, when I was 11 a friend of mine asked me
to sing with her in the show of the school; I sang and discovered that I liked
to be in front of an audience alone, so I started singing every year at the show
of the school. I attended the singing school from 2007 to 2012 and now I'm going
on my way
BC: Tell me about what music means to you?
AL: Music has always been present in my life, but when I started singing alone
a new world had opened. Every melody arouses in me something different, when I
listen to a song I really fall into it, it's something that brings you in
another world. Music can help in difficult times, writing a new piece can help
facing life situation.
Music is the air I breathe
BC: Where do you hope your music takes you? Are you trying to do
it professionally?
AL: I started writing songs so I have my own material and I hope to be noticed,
because I like not only singing, but also performing in front of a big audience,
and to do complete show. I'm trying to do it professionally and actually, I've
just came back from a 1 month staying in London. I don't want to reveal anything
but I've made so many steps forward and I'm now writing and recording new songs,
as I'm going to return in London to make them listen to some people. I'm working
really hard so I hope everything goes well!
BC: What instruments do
you play? Have you taken lessons?
AL: I've been taking piano lessons for about 7 years thanks to my mother that
really wanted me to play an instrument. My parents bought me a keyboard for Christmas, at first it was really
difficult and for long times I didn't want to do my practice exercises at home.
My parents wanted me to keep playing and they rented a piano, suddenly I felt
the need of playing everyday and we bought a digital piano, so I could record me
playing, and do thousand of effects.
BC: Which artists do you look up to?
AL: I am inspired by so many people, I listen to every kind of music, I love
the big soul singers like Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Whitney Houston but
also Beyoncè for being such a wonderful performer, Alicia Keys and Jessie J. But
I love also Queen, Aerosmith, Guns 'n Roses, Michael Bublè, Christina
Aguilera..everyone has something special!
BC: How would you
describe your sound?
AL: My sound..I think it's difficult to define my own sound. The people who
listen to my music should answer to this question, I'm writing my first
complete songs so I'm discovering it.. in some songs you can hear the proper
soul sound, and in other something more rock, It's something I'm building now so
this is a very difficult question!
BC: Tell my readers about your
new song " Electric Shock"...
AL: One day I was listening to my favourite songs, you know when you have
headphones and nobody is watching you, and you're totally into the song? Well
when the song finished, Electrick shock came in my mind like it was an existing
song, I went downstairs, and I played it! a Song is a gift, really.. and that
songs is about that moment, when you're in the song, and it brings you in
another world, the lyrics explain clearly this concept I think. I just wanted to
describe that moment, and I think I made it!
BC: Tell me about
your life currently...
AL: Well I study languages for the foreign trade at university in Venice, I'm
starting the third and final year in September, this summer I'm going out with
my friends and boyfriend..like everyone does I think! and obviously I'm going to
dedicate a lot of time to my music!
In the studio!
BC: What makes you
happiest...besides music?
AL: Having people who love me by my side, make other people happy and, as I am
really determined in everything I do, reaching targets makes me happy, even if
that target was to pass a university exam.
BC: What is next for
Arianna Ley?
AL: As I said before, I'm going to write and record new songs this summer and
in autumn in coming back in London to work with some people of the music field.
I don't like to reveal things before they happen so I won't say more about this,
but I really hope that you will hear me on the radio!
