Carnetta Sheffield writes one of the most successful fashion blogs in Orange County! She has over 20k followers who log on to see what she is up to while getting the latest scoop , not only on fashion in The OC, but also to find out what is going on in fashion and beauty across the globe! Carnetta, a mover and shaker, was recently nominated by LOCALE Magazine as one of the top 13 " FashionFluencers" in Orange County... an honor Carnetta doesn't take lightly. What first drew me to Carnetta, aside from our mutual love of fashion and all things fabulous, was her upbeat, fun , and friendly attitude! Not what you would expect... especially in the sometimes catty world of fashion styling. It is my hope that you will find Carnetta Sheffield as refreshing ( yet as fierce ) as I do. The way I see it Carnetta Sheffiled is influencing us more than with just her style alone...she is showing us that you can be down to earth, upbeat, fashion forward , and still achieve whatever your heart desires while taking the high road to get there!

BC: Where are you from and where did you grow up?

BC: Where are you from and where did you grow up?
CS: I am from Mission Viejo, Orange County, CA. Orange County has always been my
home. I love it here, its beautiful; I can’t say I will never leave, I would
love to travel, but it will always be my beginning.
BC: What were you like as a child and what did you want to be/do when you grew up?

CS: It’s so
funny because I was just talking to a friend thinking to myself,” I would have
love to seen myself in 3rd person”, however; I am always told that I was and
still am a vibrant, goal-driven, outgoing person. I was a cheerleader and dancer
for about 20 years. Also, I was a choreographer throughout my childhood from
like 9 to 17 I miss it. Cheer leading and Dancing was away to be creative, I am
such a creative person.
BC: Have you always been into fashion?

CS: Fashion
has always been another outlet for me. I like to say; you see fashion with your
eyes, but feel with your soul to connect with another soul. I have always been
that girl to want to help my friends get ready to go out, it’s fun! That is
where my passion is, and that is where I am headed. My love for fashion really
began when I saw my grandmother have thousands of shoes in her closet and lashes
on her bathroom counter. I had to be about 6 years old, maybe 7. After her
passing, my grandfather left her shoes there for me to just dream. That is when
I knew I had to be in the fashion industry, nothing less but always
more!

CS: I love
writing on my site. I am currently looking to do a lot more with it. I am number
one because I feel like I connect more with my readers, and most importantly; I
am a strong believer in that everyone should carry the title of them being #1. I
am a lot about challenging the way the you think about yourself and others, how
you present yourself; I always want to present myself as a person that is
personable, real. There are so many successful individuals that are my
inspirations. Oprah, John C. Maxwell, Scott Belsky,Valentino, Iman, Andre Leon
Talley, Merlin Castell. A lot of my inspirations are amazing fashion icons,
entrepreneurs and leaders. That is who I am, and what I aspire to
be.

BC: Describe your personal style including fragrances that you love...
CS: I love to stand out in a way that will make sense. I love color, bold statements. I am such a fan of accessorizing! You can’t go anywhere without accessorizing. I absolutely love this bold leather and color blocking this summer. I have yet to purchase cute leather shorts, but I know I will! I just love color. This is the time to let everyone’s inner chic-princess and just enjoy fab lace! I mean you can’t have summer with out summer dresses right? So of course we have classic maxi dresses, sheer drop waisted dresses but; I love our classic A-line dresses, and that’s what every woman needs this summer! ( I will always love Chanel #5, Calvin Klein Eternity, Vera Wang Princess) Those are my top favorite, right now! ( laughs)

CS: LOCALE MAGAZINE contacted me a few weeks ago informing me I was nominated for their top 13 " FashionFluencer" , Orange County’s most fashionable people and I was so excited to even be nominated. If I were to be top 5 I would be in LOCALE MAGAZINE. LOCALE MAGAZINE is everything lifestyle in California, it was such an honor to be selected! I'm anxiously awaiting the results! ( both laugh)
BC: Describe yourself in five words...
CS: Trustworthy, hardworking, outgoing, fashion forward and organized!
BC: What do you like to do to relax and for fun?
CS: I love, love, love the beach. Laguna Beach is amazing! I love shopping of course! I am also a gym freak. I am active in cycling, yoga, pilates, weight lifting and I am currently training for a half marathon ( I can run 11 miles), which is a huge accomplishment for me.
BC: Where do you see yourself going with your career in the future?

CS: I
am currently working on my styling company! I do want to be active in my
community. I want to become a fashion icon, and with that comes with a lot of
work, which I am willing to do. I want to be a leader in all of my business
ventures. I know first and foremost I want to make a difference. Fashion is my
way in making that happen. I am a strong believer that we all as individuals are
here to leave a legacy, it’s our responsibility to make sure our legacy is
nothing but positive and great!
