LOL with Will Sharick from LOLwork on Bravo TV

" Hottie Patottie" Will Sharick from LOLwork on Bravo TV

If you think the The Real Housewives on Bravo Television  can be " Catty"... you haven't seen anything yet!
The new Bravo TV show  LOLwork, starring Will Sharick, promises to not only be funny but filled with all kinds of ... well...CATS, literally! LOLwork is a reality comedy show centered around the day to day routine at the office of  http://icanhas.cheezburger.com a website where people go to upload pictures of their cats ( and pets ) while the staff,  that Will leads, moderates and edits the content that viewers come up with on the  clever sayings to go along with those photos they submit which are then shared  world wide. Its is interactive and fun for everyone involved!

From Russia with love...;)

Recently Will let me in to the " Meow Mix" and gave me the opportunity to ask a few questions about LOLwork and himself and here is what I found out ...

BC: You and I have a more than a few things in common...we both love cats, both are gay, we are both Virgos, middle children, and we are both named William!
WS: No wonder we have become Twitter Besties! I didn't realize you were also a Virgo! You must be nuts like me...
BC: There may be a few people out there who would think so LOL...When is your birthday?
WS: My birthday is August.26,1981...I love telling people that I am a left handed Virgo born in the year of the cock! ( both laugh)

BC:What is the name of the first cat that you ever had or remember?
WS: The first cat that I considered to be my own was when I was eight years old. This cat belonged to my evil step mother.I hated having to go to my father's house because of her but I loved being able to play with this cat so therefore unbeknownst to the evil step mother I changed his name from something really stupid that I don't even remember to Mercedes Benz. Clearly a Fabulous name!
BC: I know a few Drag Queens who would agree ( both laugh)

BC: What were you like as a child?
WS: I was a shy , sweet, dramatic child.
BC: What types of things were you interested in growing up?
WS: Well I didn't have many friends because I looked after my younger sister most of the time...she and I would play " dress up", ride bikes, zone out to video games, and watch a lot of TV.
BC: What were you like in grade school?
WS: I was a really good student and took pride in being a " teachers pet"
BC: Let me guess you were a cat?
WS: ( laughing) I always also loved participating in plays and musicals, always a drama queen ! I excelled in my art classes and I spent hours drawing up blue prints of my future home for me and my future husband, Johnny Depp. I am pretty much the same guy today although I do not play video games anymore and my new future husband is Ryan Gossling.
BC: Good looks and good taste!
WS: Why thank you!

Will, the middle child ,  and his sisters

BC: Tell me about your family, I hear that you have all sisters...how many?
WS: I have an older and a younger sister, so I’m the only boy, the middle child, and since I’m gay, I’m my mother’s favorite (sorry sisters). It was lots of fun being the “man of the house” growing up. My sisters and I are share a special friendship in our adult lives, and I’m so lucky to have them. Our mother raised us with a lot of love and stability, which I know was difficult for her being a single mother, and we are all very close. I love my family more than anything.
WS: Well " Bravo" to your Mom because you turned out just fine!

Will and his Mom...so cute!

BC:You grew up in Mount Vernon...what was that like?
WS: Mount Vernon was a pretty great place to grow up. It’s a gorgeous part of Washington, known for its annual Spring Tulip Festival, located about 60 miles north of Seattle. I felt very safe growing up there.
BC: What was high school like for you? Were you part of a crowd?
WS: I wasn’t necessarily part of any crowd it seemed like. I wasn’t popular, but I wasn’t a nerd. I was more concerned with earning good grades so that I could move to Seattle and go to the University of Washington. I really enjoyed growing up in the country, but I’m forever a city dweller now.

BC:  You went to college after graduating ...tell me what your college experience was like...
WS: College was lots of fun. I was ready to leave Mount Vernon and really excited to live in the city. I was in a fraternity at University of Washington. Theta Chi till I die! That’s where I learned to party and it’s also where I learned that I was definitely gay. I came out shortly after I turned 21 around the same time one of my frat brothers did. We moved out of the frat and into an apartment in the “diverse” neighborhood of Capitol Hill, the same neighborhood I live in to this day. It did take me 10 years to finish my degree because there were too many subjects that interested me in order to narrow it down to one. I thought I was going to be an architect for the longest time, but that changed to business, then to art, then to psychology, then to art history, then environmental science, then urban planning and global health. Now I work for an Internet humor platform company!! University of Washington is an amazing school and I miss the camaraderie. I love learning new things and could have probably been content being a lifetime student.
Will at Cheezburger

BC: Now on to your new reality comedy show LOLwork...it is based on your work life at Cheezburger.com ...what is your role there?
WS: My current roles at Cheezburger are Community Engagement Team Manager and I also supervise the Content that appears on the sites, which basically means I enforce our terms of service and use and community guidelines when users upload images.
BC: What led you to that gig and then ultimately to the new show on Bravo?
WS: I have been a fan of icanhascheezburger.com for a long time. My friends and I would share pictures with each other almost daily. I knew that my gig with the department of Global Health at UW would be ending soon, and rather than try to apply for another quarter of work there, I decided that I would look into something else. So when an acquaintance of mine that I met through my former boyfriend posted on Facebook about some open positions, I immediately emailed her my resume. After several interviews I landed the job and have been so happy here ever since.

BC: What was the experience like being filmed all the time?
WS: It was a little strange at first. I was sitting at my desk doing work and I knew that there was a camera in the room, but I had no idea what was being filmed. I pretty much just pretended that the camera wasn’t there and went about my daily tasks. After a while it seemed totally normal and now I miss the camera!

BC: Lets talk boys...Are you seeing anyone?
WS: I’m actually in Los Angeles right now visiting my honey boo boo.
BC: OMG sooo funny!
WS: ( laughing) We don’t know how to define our relationship because we live in different states, but we really like each other, so we’re just going to let the universe decide our future. He is tall, dark and handsome...my favorite! He is Armenian, but he grew up in Moscow until he and his parents moved to the U.S. It’s the sexiest thing ever when he speaks Russian.
BC: My last interview was Russian and sexy but not your type... it was a woman ( both laughing)

I tell them It's not a dog it's a cat!

BC: Tell me about your " fur children" LOL
WS: I have two very special kitties in my life, Winston and Nigel. They are cuddle muffins and the best cats I have ever known. My best friend and I got them when we were living together and we are both very active parents to them. They are spoiled rotten and recently had to go on a diet because we were feeding them too much. They are in great health now! We didn’t realize how small kitty tummies are!
BC: I am so  happy to hear that! I know how much you love them! I introduced you to my cats, who are brother and sister rescue kitties, Rocky Charles and Chloe Rose. You did me the great honor of turning them in to LOLcats on Cheezburger!!!

WS: It was my pleasure!
BC: Readers you can view them here... http://chloeandrocky.cheezburger.com
They are so awesome and I really appreciate it!
WS: Your welcome... I had fun doing it!
BC: They are both going to get big heads and probably ask me for their own trailer on set ( both laugh)

BC: So... where do you see yourself in five years?
WS:In five years I see myself still working at Cheezburger. I love this company so much, and I’m excited almost every day when I go to work. It has its challenges, but all jobs do and that’s what helps you grow in your professional and personal life. Laughter is a huge part of my job and there isn’t a day that goes by where something doesn’t make me ROFL. I want to learn more about different teams in the company and continue to grow as a leader at Cheezburger.

BC: What do you hope viewers take from the show about who you are?
WS: I hope that viewers find me funny and are able to laugh at my sense of humor. I also want them to see me for who I am; a nice guy who has a bit of sass from time to time (in my opinion).
BC: You are very sassy! ( in a good way)

BC: You have said your mutant power would be X-ray vision mine would be time travel:) thoughts?
WS: X-ray vision is actually kind of a creepy superpower! I swear I'm not a creep. I think time travel is much more awesome! I would love to be able to go back in time or into the future to see what my parents were like when they were younger, or what my future kids will be like. I bet futuristic cats are going to amazing. In fact, they may even be the ruling species.
BC: I can see it now...Planet Of The Cats staring Winston and Rocky Charles ( both laugh)

BC: What music are you listening to currently?
WS: I go through phases where I am obsessed with one or two artists at a time. Right now I’m on a Solange Knowles and Bat for Lashes kick. I love all types of music, even country! Pontoon by Little Big Town was my summer jam and new favorite karaoke song.
BC: I love that song! I like when she says "coozy" LOL

BC :Describe to me  your perfect day off ...
WS: My perfect day off starts with me sleeping in as long as possible. Then, I like to have coffee in bed while I surf the inter webs and read my favorite blogs (including this one).
BC: You're too kind! Thank you!
WS: I also like to stay in my pajamas all day and cook delicious food. Basically, my perfect day off involves being as lazy as possible. I used to have a hard time being able to relax, and now I crave it.

BC: Tell me a few of your favorite things and some things that you are not a fan of...
WS: Drinking a fabulous glass of Cabernet Sauvignon with a delicious meal at home with a bunch of friends over is my idea of heaven. I also love to watch the Real Housewives on Bravo TV of any city. I’m such a fan of each franchise, but I must say, Atlanta is my favorite! I am not a fan of spiders and if I see paper products that are wet on the ground, I have to really try hard to keep myself from throwing up. I don’t know why, but it grosses me out.
Will looking " demure"

BC: You are definitely a unique individual! ( laughing)
I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer my questions and letting us get to know you better! I look forward to LOLwork premiering November 7, 2012 on Bravo TV as I am sure my readers are too!
WS: It was fun and I really do read your blog!
BC: Thank you Kitty Boo Boo Child! ( both laughing)
